Stalled. The TDP-Jana Sena BC Declaration promised a dedicated BC Protection Act (alongside a social-justice inquiry committee). As of early 2026 the Act had not been enacted, and BC welfare associations were still publicly demanding it - along with population-based reservations and an OBC sub-plan with budgets - in meetings with the Chief Minister, who responded that the concerns would be reviewed. Based on press reporting (non-approved source); an approved/government citation is to be attached.
