The Rs 25 lakh family health insurance cap was introduced by the previous government in December 2023; the current government has retained and restructured it (Dr NTR Vaidya Seva, ~324 services for 1.43 crore families, approved September 2025). Coverage is in effect, but the manifesto's "first in the country" framing is inaccurate as the cap predates this government. Approved/government citation to be attached.
