Build 20 cold-storage facilities across Goa

On track, but not fulfilled. This entry tracks the independently measurable commitment to build 20 cold-storage facilities. It is related to, but not a duplicate of, the existing Rs 100 crore cold-storage fund promise. That entry requires establishment of a specific financing mechanism, while this entry requires delivery of 20 physical facilities. The notified Goa State Amritkal Agriculture Policy 2025 provides for cold-storage facilities, cool chambers, reefer vehicles, integrated pack houses and other storage infrastructure. It specifically proposes at least one state-subsidised central cold-storage unit in each of Goa's 12 talukas and promotes public-private partnerships and investor incentives for additional storage infrastructure. The current agriculture scheme framework also provides a 35 percent credit-linked capital subsidy for construction, expansion and modernisation of eligible cold-storage units. These measures constitute concrete policy and enabling action towards the promised expansion. However, the policy's expressly quantified network covers 12 taluka-level units rather than 20, and no approved source found confirms sanction, construction or operation of 20 new post-election cold-storage facilities.
