“India's first floating jetty on the Mandovi river will be upgraded and the construction of the floating jetties in Campal and Chapora will be expe-dited.”
On track, but not fulfilled. The promise is to upgrade India's first floating jetty on the Mandovi river and expedite floating jetties at Campal and Chapora. Captain of Ports official project material says the department proposed completion of four floating jetties in Mandovi and Chapora river, with one floating concrete jetty at Panaji in Mandovi completed and commissioned and other jetties expected later. Times of India also reported inauguration of a floating jetty with the Chorao-Panaji solar ferry. This supports progress on floating-jetty infrastructure, but approved sources found do not confirm completion of both Campal and Chapora jetties after the 2022 promise or a completed upgrade of the Mandovi floating jetty. Status on_track.
Times of India reported inauguration of a floating jetty alongside Goa's first electric-cum-solar ferry on the Chorao-Panaji route.
