“We will expand and modernize all the 12 Ferry Systems in the state to match international standards.”
On track, but not fulfilled. The promise is to expand and modernize all ferry systems in Goa to match international standards. River Navigation Department officially records ferry transport service across Goa, round-the-clock ferry service for commuters, and transport of passengers, vehicles and goods. Its official ferry-routes page lists 17 ferry routes, which is more than the 12 routes mentioned in the manifesto text. Official and approved sources also show movement on floating jetties, solar ferry and Ro-Ro ferry service. However, no approved source confirms modernization of all ferry systems to international standards. Status on_track.
Annual Administration Report 2024-25 recorded that River Navigation Department had started Ro-Ro ferry service on the Ribandar-Chorao route.
View sourceTimes of India reported commissioning of Goa's first electric-cum-solar ferry boat and inauguration of a floating jetty on the Chorao-Panaji route.
