“With the aim of completely eliminating multidimensional poverty in the state over the next five years, we will deliver social welfare benefits to the poor in a timely manner and through Direct Benefit Transfers. We will increase the old age pension under DSSY to Rs 3000/- per month.”
Ongoing for the welfare-benefit delivery component only. Official sources confirm that Goa has Aadhaar-targeted delivery notifications for social welfare schemes including DSSS, Goa Online provides a Know Your Schemes service that maps citizens to eligible schemes, and the Goa Budget 2025-26 includes a budgeted subsidy line for Dayanand Social Security Scheme. Times of India reported active DSSS administration in 2025 with about 1.3 lakh beneficiaries after beneficiary cleanup. This supports ongoing welfare delivery infrastructure, but does not prove timely delivery in every case or complete elimination of multidimensional poverty within five years. The old-age pension increase is tracked separately.
Times of India reported that Goa DSSS beneficiaries had been brought down to about 1.3 lakh after cleanup, with the monthly burden reduced to about Rs 25 crore.
