Launch a National Forensics Mission to strengthen forensic infrastructure

Forensic infrastructure is being expanded, reinforced by the new criminal laws - the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita makes forensic investigation mandatory for offences carrying seven years imprisonment or more - driving demand for forensic capacity. The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) is expanding campuses nationally to train manpower, and central/state forensic laboratories are being strengthened.
