“We will set up a Centre of Excellence for clean energy technologies and position the country as Global Manufacturing Hub for Wind, Solar and Green Hydrogen and scale up Bio-Energy Manufacturing facilities from all sorts of waste.”
Domestic clean-energy manufacturing is being built up through the PLI scheme for High-Efficiency Solar PV Modules (boosting domestic cell/module capacity and reducing import dependence), incentives for electrolyser manufacturing under the Green Hydrogen Mission, growing wind-turbine manufacturing, and bio-energy/waste-to-energy programmes (GOBARdhan, SATAT compressed biogas). A clean-energy manufacturing ecosystem is expanding, but global-hub status and a dedicated Centre of Excellence are still being established. Partial.
