We have set up a High Powered Committee to examine the issues of conducting simultaneous elections and will work towards the implementation of the recommendations of the Committee.

Compliance-reduction and decriminalisation efforts continue: the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) framework decriminalises minor offences, Budget 2025-26 announced a light-touch regulatory push and a high-level committee for regulatory reforms, and MSME classification thresholds were raised (investment up to 2.5x and turnover up to 2x) to ease scheme access and graduation pressures. States are being encouraged to simplify their legislations (e.g. via the Business Reforms Action Plan). A broad, measurable reduction in compliances delivered jointly with states is in progress rather than complete. Partial.

We have already enacted a strict law to stop misconduct in recruitment exams across the country. We will strictly implement this law to ensure strict punishment to those playing with the future of our youth.
We will further strengthen the capacity of statistical institutions to give an impetus to data driven policy making.
