The promise was to strengthen and amend the state law referred to in the manifesto as love jihad, with imprisonment up to ten years. The state government implemented the Uttarakhand Freedom of Religion (Amendment) Act, 2022, and the official CM page says those found guilty may face up to 10 years of imprisonment. Indian Express also reported Assembly passage of the stricter conversion Bill in December 2022. The verdict is fulfilled for the law-amendment component. The BJP will introduce a 2 day mandatory holiday in every quarter of the year for all police personnel, to enable them to spend quality time with their parents under the 'Matru-Pitru Vandana Yojana'.
We will provide housing to all police personnel across the state in a phased manner.
