“The BJP Government will institute a task force to implement a policy of Zero Tolerance of Drugs.”
The promise was to institute a task force to implement zero tolerance of drugs. TOI reported in 2026 that the Uttarakhand Anti-Narcotics Task Force was formed in 2022 and that the cabinet approved 22 permanent posts for it; TOI also reported in 2025 that the CM directed the Anti-Narcotic Task Force to take strict action and strengthen enforcement under the Drug Free Uttarakhand resolve.
