Delivered in part: in March 2025 Andhra Pradesh became the first state to grant gratuity to ASHA workers (a retirement benefit of about Rs 1.5 lakh for 30 years of service, covering ~42,752 workers), alongside maternity benefits (180-day leave counted as working days, worth up to Rs 60,000); the state also pays the country's highest ASHA honorarium at Rs 10,000/month. Gratuity for Anganwadi workers and helpers was announced on Women's Day, with a further honorarium hike flagged as forthcoming.
