The pledge has been delivered in framework terms. The Ministry launched an Aggregator module on e-Shram on 12 December 2024 to onboard platform aggregators and their gig workers, with 12 major aggregators (Zomato, Blinkit, Urban Company, Uber, Amazon, Ola, Swiggy, Ecom Express, Rapido, Zepto, Porter, Uncle Delivery) onboarded. Budget 2025-26 announced identity cards for gig workers, e-Shram registration and AB-PMJAY health cover (Rs 5 lakh per family), and the Code on Social Security (in force from Nov 2025) gave gig/platform workers their first formal legal recognition. The "work with platforms to register gig workers and link benefits" commitment is fulfilled; full benefit rollout continues.
