“We have successfully implemented social security insurance schemes like PM Jeevan Bima and Suraksha Bima for unorganised workers. We will now integrate all such schemes and use the post office and Digital India network to provide comprehensive social security cover for accident and life insurance. We will use digital technologies for easy enrollment and seamless payment.”
Scheme integration and digital enrollment have advanced: the e-Shram "One-Stop-Solution" (launched 21 October 2024) integrated 14 central welfare/social-security schemes including Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) into a single portal, with Aadhaar-seeded UANs, multilingual access (22 languages) and links to UMANG, DigiLocker and myScheme for seamless access. The integration and digital-enrollment elements are being delivered; the specific commitment to use the post-office network as a delivery channel is less clearly evidenced. Partial.
