Indian Railways routinely operates large numbers of festival special trains during peak travel occasions (such as Chhath, Diwali and Holi), heavily used on migrant-worker routes to and from states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, and the number of festival special train trips has been increased year on year. These services help migrant workers travel home during important occasions. However, they take the form of general festival-special services rather than a distinct, named migrant-worker scheme with measurable hassle-free guarantees, so the specific enhancement pledge is partially evidenced. We will work with state governments to ensure convenient facilities for senior citizens to undertake sacred pilgrimages across the country.
We will provide senior citizens with comprehensive training in using UPI and other online payment methods, while also educating them on how to recognize and avoid digital scams.
We will reach out to migrant workers and empower them to avail benefits of various programmes that they are eligible for.
