Expand Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras to ease exports for MSMEs and artisans

The promise was to expand Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras so that MSMEs, small traders and Vishwakarma families can access easier export facilities. Official evidence shows direct delivery: the government reported in December 2024 that 1,013 Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras had been set up across the country, with one planned in every district, and that these centres facilitate cross-border e-commerce for artisans, weavers, craftsmen and MSMEs in the hinterland. The Department of Posts also reported that the centres enable exports through booking, digital documentation and customs clearance, and that International Tracked Packet Service supported 13.48 lakh shipments in 2023-24. In January 2026, export benefits including Duty Drawback, RoDTEP and RoSCTL were extended to postal-channel exports through DNKs, further improving the export facility for small exporters. Since the network is operational nationally and the promised export facilitation mechanism is available, the verdict is fulfilled. Budget: no separate approved-source allocation line for DNK expansion was found; delivery is evidenced through operational centres and export-facilitation measures.
