The promise was to collaborate with other countries to restore and revitalise sites connected to Bharatiya civilisation. Official evidence shows this is an active cultural-diplomacy line: India hosted the 46th World Heritage Committee in 2024 and announced a USD 1 million grant to the UNESCO World Heritage Centre for global heritage conservation, particularly benefiting Global South countries. Ministry of External Affairs annual reporting also records India-supported restoration of civilizational and heritage sites abroad, including work linked to Ta Prohm in Cambodia and My Son in Vietnam. The commitment is best treated as ongoing because restoration diplomacy is continuous and project-based, not a single finite deliverable. Budget: broad mapped budget evidence exists through the USD 1 million UNESCO World Heritage Centre grant and MEA-supported heritage cooperation, but project-wise utilisation for Bharatiya civilizational sites was not found.
