“We will develop thematic circuits for promoting cultural experience: border villages, sustainable ecotourism in under-explored regions, riverine tourism along major river ecosystems, island tourism hubs in Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar, and adventure tourism in the North East and other hill states.”
Thematic tourism is being developed across the pledged themes: border tourism under the Vibrant Villages Programme, ecotourism and adventure tourism in the North East and hill states, riverine and cruise tourism (with cruise-tourism policy and river-cruise circuits, e.g. on the Ganga), and island tourism in Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar (with PM-led promotion of Lakshadweep). These circuits are being progressed under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 and related schemes, with development ongoing. Partial.
We will support the translation and adaptation of ancient Bhartiya literary works into foreign languages.
Ramayan is celebrated across the world, particularly in South and South-East Asia. We will launch a global outreach program for documenting and promoting the tangible and intangible legacy of Lord Ram in all countries. We will celebrate Ramayan Utsav with great fervour across the globe to commemorate the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla.
We will collaborate with countries across the globe to restore and revitalise sites of Bharatiya civilization.
