Thematic tourism is being developed across the pledged themes: border tourism under the Vibrant Villages Programme, ecotourism and adventure tourism in the North East and hill states, riverine and cruise tourism (with cruise-tourism policy and river-cruise circuits, e.g. on the Ganga), and island tourism in Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar (with PM-led promotion of Lakshadweep).
